What were you doing before Magical Maths and how long for?

Teacher of Mathematics in a secondary school for 3 years

Why did you want to leave (what did you dislike)? 

Too much focus on memory for exams and data of levels of progress (which were always made up anyway) rather than teaching the subject

What did you want instead ?

To teach maths the way I wanted to and to get across my love for the subject.  Also to have more responsibility and income without the ridiculous added workload that comes with being in senior leadership.

Why Magical Maths? 

It stands for everything I believe in.

What's been the best thing about taking on a Magical Maths franchise for you? 

The feedback from schools, parents and most importantly children

What's the worst thing? 

As I grow more the amount of time I am spent doing 'admin' type things it increasing and takes up more time than I would like.... but needs must. (Although it take a long time I don't dislike doing it as I am passionate about what I am doing)

What would you say to any teachers/ education professionals that are looking for a new challenge (or escape) from teaching?
