What were you doing before Magical Maths and how long for?

Primary School Teacher for over 20 years.

Why did you want to leave (what did you dislike)? 

Always loved my work with the children but hated the paper work that there seemed to be more of year on year with no benefit to the children I taught.

What did you want instead ?

Enjoy working with the children with no paper work or marking!

Why Magical Maths? 

Could see a need for it in school.

What's been the best thing about taking on a Magical Maths franchise for you? 

So many things - meeting new people who work for me and watching them develop. Working with different agencies like the University when I recruit. Doing the clubs and seeing how much the children enjoy it and knowing that the children's enjoyment is enough I don't have to prove what they have or have not learnt to anyone.

What would you say to any teachers/ education professionals that are looking for a new challenge (or escape) from teaching? 

Take back your life and do it :)
